We are a British couple who have owned a second home in France for around 20 years. Soon after having a Linky smart meter fitted by EDF, we were shocked to receive an electricity bill for a five-figure sum, with a demand for immediate payment.
Based on our occupation of the property and our past electricity consumption, we knew this bill couldn’t possibly be correct. But despite our best efforts, we were getting nowhere in convincing EDF of their serious miscalculation of our bill. A difficult and stressful situation was developing for us.
Thankfully, we found Nicole and engaged her services. We soon found ourselves in safe hands as she carefully assembled evidence, arranged conference calls with EDF and eventually guided us through complex mediation that resulted in EDF

Gets on with the job with minimum fuss
“I moved to France in 2020 after living in Spain for 12 years. I’ve been General Manager of several large companies in the UK and Spain. So I would describe myself as capable, a good problem solver and a fairly good all round fixer. To that end I have resolved, organized and tackled lots of things since moving to France. But I also recognize that there are some things where you simply need a French native to help.
Nicole helped me with several projects and she is a dream to work with. Very little explanation required, as she quickly grasps concepts and gets on with the job with minimum fuss.
A few times I have conferenced her into tricky phone calls without any prior warning (the theft of a caravan for one) and she is totally un-phased; just listens to a quick explanation and gets on with helping, translating and fixing. Some people just ‘get it’ and Nicole is one of those people. So when you have other things to concentrate on, it’s so helpful to have someone so reactive and proactive on your side.
